We took the F line out to Coney Island. It was a bit of a run around because there was some work being done on the tracks. We eventually made it though. Here we are on the walkway over to the beach. You can see the amusement rides behind you.

Here we are looking out to the sea.

It was quite cold out but you wanted nothing to do with you hat. "Here daddy. You take it."

When we first entered the aquarium they had a huge fish tank. I mean huge. It had lots of fishes and sting rays and a few moray eels like the one here.

You were anxious to get as close as possible to the fish so we propped you up on the window sill.

Look at all the fish (or fishies as we say to you). This is what it looks like when mommy and daddy go diving in the Caribbean.

And here's the sting ray. I had a tough time taking a good shot of them because they move pretty fast. This is the best picture.

They also had tortoises which you have seen before.

And an iguana lizard which you haven't.

We found Nemo! The clown fish like to hang out around the sea anemone. You like to say anemone.

Jelly fish! They were very pretty.

Outside there was a sea lion. He had very slick skin. I took this shot just as a fish was going into his mouth. The lady on the right was an employee and feeding all the sea lions.

Here's a sea otter. You can see a lot of these in California.

Next we went to the shark area. Here's a giant turtle and a huge stingray below it.

And here's a shark! You kept saying "shark, shark" all day.

Then we went to a jellyfish area. They had lots of them. I like this photo a lot.

And another moray eel.

And we saw one of your favorites - Seahorses!

We also went to a 'touch' area where you touched a starfish and a horseshoe crab.

Then we went to a exhibit that lets you know what it's like to be under a waterfall. No one got wet. It's covered in glass.

Then we went to another area where we saw a giant octopus. It was too dark to take photos. There were also 3 big walruses that I forgot to take a picture of. They were huge! And to finish off some tiny sting rays.

I was hoping we could feed the rays because I saw it on your Elmo DVD. But that wasn't set up in the 'touch' area. Then we headed home. It was a long morning so you took a nap.
Oh I almost forgot. We also saw a dolphin. Wait a second... That's not a dolphin is it?
Reagan slept during most of our breakfast - after we finished eating, Todd took Reagan out of her carseat so we could take a close look at her. You were very interested in Reagan and even gave her a kiss on the head. Very cute.
You also enjoyed roaming around the bookstore looking for Daddy.
In the evening, we went to dinner with Lisa, Steve and Luke Owens. They live in Tribeca and drove over to Dumbo. Lisa had trouble with her new phone so they accidentally forgot about your birthday party a few weeks ago, so we celebrated your birthday again. For your birthday, you received another tricycle - we'll return it and find some other useful toys. We enjoyed a nice dinner at Five Front - you weren't very hungry. In fact, toward the end of dinner, you decided to lay down on my lap. When we got home, I took your temperature and you had a fever of 103.5. Poor baby - I gave you some Motrin and you fell asleep right away. Sweet dreams.
So many presents! I think you finally understand the concept of presents and how much fun it is to rip open the wrapping paper.
Your Aunt Caroline also bought you a new pair of Barbie cowgirl boots - Yee Haw! You love to jump off Daddy. . .but I bet our neighbors below hate it!
We will call Aunt Caroline, Uncle Larry, Jonathan and James tomorrow to say "Thanks!"
You cried your eyes out when I left you at daycare - in fact, you cried so hard that you puked on yourself. Poor Sophia. After an hour or so, you started to have fun playing with Elmo and reading books. When I picked you up in the afternoon, you were so happy to see me and your teacher said you were fine all day long.
You were upset when I left the hotel but Zlatka took you for a walk and played with you until it was bedtime. I came home around 10:30PM and you were sound asleep.
On Thursday after work, we drove to Madrona to have dinner with Sandy, Rich and Sadie Wickham - Sandy is also pregnant with baby #2. We went to St Clouds for dinner, but I wasn't feeling very well and had a terrible headache. I was so exhausted and felt ready to pass out. After we had a quick dinner, we drove back to the hotel - I brushed my teeth and your teeth, changed you into pajamas, gave you some milk, child-proofed the room and then feel fast-asleep on the bed. The last thing I remember hearing was your puzzle pieces crashing to the floor; an hour or so later, you climbed into the bed and fell asleep next to me. Luckily you were smart enough to climb into bed - PHEW!
On Friday night, I left work early so that we could visit the Cho family - Junehee, Hoon and their son Brandon. Sometimes we stay at their house and you play with Brandon and his nanny Colleen. Junehee is also pregnant and due in March. They may move back to NY this summer since Hoon is looking for another job. You had fun playing with Brandon's marble maze but you kept trying to destroy it.
Snack time - YUMMY!
After visiting the Chos, we drove to Som and Tanya's house - they were so excited to see you. Since it was Som's birthday too last week, I brought some cupcakes to celebrate. They invited some friends over for dinner later - first it was dinner time for Sophia. You ate so much pasta and tofu! Here is Som trying to give you a kiss - pucker up!
Next we said CHEERS because Som and Tanya are expecting their first baby this summer. Tanya is due on September 1st!
After you finished eating, Som gave you a ride on his back - I think you missed riding Brownie at home.
One more day and we'll be home. . . . Good night, Daddy!
